Lewis, Be Brave is the second single from Liverpool-based Clean Cut Kid‘s forthcoming album, Hiss, slated to be released jointly on Team Love and Alcopop Records in Spring 2022. Recently returned from a tour as a duo (opening for Orla Gartland!), Clean Cut Kid continue to stretch their loving arms out to friends and fans alike.
“A good friend came to stay with us a few days after losing his Mum. I’d never witnessed someone so completely and utterly consumed by grief. His pain was like a force that changed the air in every room he was in. ‘Lewis, Be Brave’ was written simply to tell him, ‘I tried my very best to understand what you were feeling.’”
– Mike Halls, songwriter

Starring the great Walter Henry Halls, father of Clean Cut Kid front man Mike Halls, the video for Heavy As is a window into one of the pair’s infamous ‘Beatles Day’ bonding sessions, in which they explore their home city of Liverpool, beautifully captured on Ultra 8 film by the loving eyes of Evelyn Halls.
Heavy As is the first single from Clean Cut Kid’s upcoming fourth album, Hiss, which will be released in 2022 on Team Love in the US and Canada, together with our friends at Alcopop Records in the wider world.
