Beginning today,  David Dondero’s fantastic new record, “#Zero with a Bullet” is streaming in its entirety at NPR. Robin Hilton at All Songs Considered had some lovely things to say about Dave:

On “Wherever You Go“, David takes us through a colorful travelogue of people, places, and things. Full of rich detail and clever wordplay, the song creates a vivid story of life on the move, hopping from city to city, taking in as much as you can, and moving on. Always moving on.

On August 3rd, 2010, Team Love will release # Zero With A Bullet, the 7th studio recording from David Dondero.  But, as is his nature, David will not be waiting till August to hit the road in support of the new album.  Oh no, he will be out in full force by the end of June, criss-crossing the U.S. and Canada.  Full tour routing follows below.  Plans are already in the works for additional touring later in the Fall.

David has been touring for well over 10 years now.  It’s practically a part of his DNA at this point.  The road provides both a venue where his stories are told, and the canvas on which they are written.  His songwriting is shaped by the places – large and small, urban and rural – that he visits and the diversity of people he meets along the way.  His stories are universal; yours and mine.  It’s powerful stuff.  Through honing his craft in small rooms and big theaters alike, on outdoor stages and at backyard BBQs, Dondero has developed a subtly of craft and dexterity of performance that is nothing short of inspiring.
